AW RESIDENCE | Dbayeh, Lebanon
Interior Design
Type: Residential
Status: Built
This duplex in Dbayeh Awkar was designed for a young family with the long view in mind. The challenge was to hold two things at once: the energy and optimism of a family at the beginning of its story, and the solidity of a home built to grow with them over time.
The lower floor is where the home opens up. An open plan living, dining, and kitchen space anchors daily life, generous enough for gatherings and relaxed enough for the ordinary rhythms of a family. Bold colours make a considered appearance here, injecting personality and warmth without overreaching. The upper floor is quieter, organised into distinct rooms that offer privacy and separation when the day calls for it.
Natural materials run throughout both levels. Wood and stone bring a groundedness to the design, balanced by soft furnishings that keep the atmosphere from feeling too resolved, too finished. A home for a growing family should have room to evolve, and the design anticipates that.
The result is a duplex that feels youthful and alive today, and sturdy enough to hold whatever comes next.
